Experience
With more than 10 years experience partnering with a variety of clients – from local authors and agencies to regional hospitals and international healthcare groups – creating compelling content, both online and off, is what I do best. Websites, ad campaigns, e-newsletters, brochures, news releases, annual reports, print magazines/newsletters and more – I’ve done it all.
In addition to writing, I also work with organizations on strategic marketing and public relations efforts and love teaming up to raise awareness about important issues, causes and brands with the media and communities, both local and worldwide.
After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in Spanish, I moved to Kansas City to begin my career as a reporter. I worked at The Examiner and then The Kansas City Star, where I secured seven front-page articles, including an award-winning feature on boutique hospitals. I later spent more than four years leading marketing and awareness efforts at the PKD Foundation, an international healthcare organization based in Kansas City, Mo.
